More May....

Summer isn't officially here yet, but we are already enjoying the nice weather along with the pool and outdoors. Here are some more pictures from May...

We spent Memorial Day weekend at the pool & then over to Melissa's for a cook-out and some fun.

The kids always have fun at Isaacs party, but this year it was extra special. Ms. Stacy had the reptile guy. The kids got to see many fascinating animals. Even Alyssa held a snake. YUCK!

I don't know what this little boy was doing, but it sort of looks like he was "hitting" on her! ;)

When I give Dylan a bath, we always make his hair into a mow-hawk. Well, he wanted me to fix it like this one day, so I did it. He thought he was so cool!
Alyssa really is starting to look older! I'm so close to having a 2nd grader!
Our new puppy is doing great. She's catching onto potty-training very quickly. If only we could get her to quit biting us. She loves to curl up & sleep with our shoes in the cubbies. If I can't find her, sure enough she's curled up in one of them sleeping -- I kind of wonder if she's trying to escape from the 3 kids!

My Preschool Grad!

So, my baby boy graduated from preschool. Off to kindergarten he goes. Wow -- how life will be so different with 2 school-aged children. I don’t know what I am going to do. I LOVE having them ALL home (that’s why I look so forward to summertime & breaks!) I was thinking it’s been over 5 years where since I’ve had only 1 child at home. I am going to get some quality alone time with Lauren, but it’s going to be so different as she’s had a playmate home with her from the day she was born. She is not as independent as the other 2 are. I really can’t believe he will be gone every day like Alyssa. It’s going to be an adjustment for Mommy, to say the least (I’m teary-eyed just thinking about it & typing it!) His day started with an End of year family picnic at the sprayground. Here are a few pics. So, my baby boy graduated from preschool. Off to kindergarten he goes. Before the graduation the kids put on a program and sand a few (tear-jerker) songs.

Project Flower Bed

So, I’ve never been into gardening/landscaping. I’ve always loved planting flowers in the spring, but this year I stepped it up a notch. We have a flower bed that runs along the whole backside of our new house (it’s huge). With the help of the Hargraves guiding me to native TX plants & proper placement & my sweet hubby who did most of the planting, I have a new interest. I’m actually sad we are done & can’t wait to tackle the 2 front flower beds. I keep planning it out on paper & it keeps changing, so I think we may wait until next year to tackle that one as I’ll really know what I like & don’t like (& it will give me time to read my new book on TX landscaping!) So, here is what it looked like after we got the 70 plants in. Yes, that’s 70!!!!! The picture above was taken in July, so you can already tell how much it’s grown.

My Baby Boy is 5!

It’s hard to believe that 5 years has past. I don’t know where the time has gone. I’m trying to relish every moment I have with him before he goes to kindergarten. It will be here before I know it. We’ve had some tough times with this strong-willed little man, but he is also one of the funniest, most sensitive, sweetest, handsome things ever. He tells me all the time that we are going to get married. This past year he has decided he wants to be a builder (probably from watching our house be built) & he’s going to build a huge house that we can all live in. I can’t remember how many rooms it will have, but I think the latest was 20 & that’s just bedrooms. I am all good with that!

So, for his b-day we had a few friends to the “jumpy place” in the mall. He had a blast since he had a 2-day celebration. His b-day party was Saturday, followed by the real b-day on Sunday (which was Mother’s Day!)

So, here are a few pictures from his day...

Everyone waiting for cake!

Mommy got a pic with her b-day boy!

Presents!

So, my dear friend, Michele helped me out with Lauren during the party. Evidently, Lauren has a thing for Wesley as she was trying to hold his hand (1st & 3rd pics) -- I don’t think he’s as into her?! :) That would be awesome if they got married, but let’s give it a few more years!

Happy 5th Dylan!

T-Ball

Dylan really enjoyed his first season of t-ball. It was fun for all of us -- I’m kind of sad it’s over. Not only did he have fun playing, he gained some skills & grew as a player, he made some good friends, Jayden & Jaxon. It was neat to see him have ‘his thing’ where the focus was on him. The season ended with a party where he received his very first trophy. Go Dylan!

Dylan loved his uniform & wanted to wear it for more then just the games. If he had a game that night, we could always find him ready to go, dressed & all by 3:00. :)

Look at him running to home to score a run!!!
